PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device, a recording program, and a recording medium, for effectively recording image data on a plurality of recording media. SOLUTION: There are provided: a data input means for reading image data from media, a digital camera, or the like; a data generation means for generating the data of the Video-CD format, the DVD-Video format, or the HDTV format reproducible by an image reproducing apparatus, on the basis of the read image data; a data recording means for recording the image data or the data for the image reproducing apparatus on the plurality of recording media, while taking into account of the recording order; and a relating information printing means for printing the information for relating the plurality of recording media. Because at least one of the read image data or the data for the image reproducing apparatus are recorded on each of the plurality of recording media, the image data can be securely archived. Further, because the relating information is visibly printed on each of the plurality of recording media, the search for the desired recording medium can be easily performed.
