A ring-shaped rotatable gantry (1) fits on a mount (8) and has an X-ray radiator (XRR) (2), a motor (3) for driving the XRR and a screen (4) for shaping X-ray beams generated by the XRR. A device for mounting the XRR has a linear control device in the form of a sliding cradle (6).
