<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller of a hybrid vehicle capable of traveling the vehicle without giving a sense of incongruity to a driver even if a trouble occurs in an engagement element. <P>SOLUTION: This controller of the hybrid vehicle comprises a trouble detection means detecting an OFF trouble whereby the engagement element cannot be engaged or an ON trouble whereby the engagement element cannot be disengaged and an alternative mode control means in which the combination of the engagement/disengagement of the engagement element corresponding to alternative modes are set according to the troubled positions of the engagement element. A travel control means is so formed that, when a trouble is detected by the trouble detection means, the engagement/disengagment of the engagement element set by the alternative mode control means in place of a mode control means can be controlled. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
