METHOD AND DEVICE FOR RADIO PACKET COMMUNICATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make transmission efficiency high while guaranteeing necessary communication quality for real-time traffic and satisfying necessary communication quality for non-real-time traffic in an environment wherein the real-time traffic and non-real-time traffic coexist. SOLUTION: This radio packet communication method of transmitting radio packets generated from transmitted data frames by using one transmission rate selected out of a plurality of transmission rates, has a 1st transmission rate management style in which the transmission rate used to transmit the radio packets is fixed at a set value and a 2nd transmission rate management style in which the transmission rate used to transmit the radio packets is selected under dynamic control based upon switching decision conditions corresponding to the necessary communication quality; and the transmission data frames are grouped, the 1st transmission rate management style or 2nd transmission rate management style is selected for each group, and the radio packets are transmitted by using the corresponding transmission rate.
