PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous underground wall and an earth retaining method using the continuous underground wall restrained from deformation in conformity to the behavior of the ground after the start of excavation. SOLUTION: The continuous underground wall suppressing the deformation of the back face side ground 1b left on the back face side, onto the excavated part 1c side when excavating the ground on the inner face side of a wall body 7 constructed underground beforehand, has bag bodies 8 arranged on the back face side of the wall body 7, and an injection pipe 10 for injecting a fluid 9 into the bag bodies 8. Based on the inclination of the wall body 7 caused by excavation, the fluid 9 is injected into the bag bodies 8 to suppress the deformation of the back face side ground 1b.
