<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly safe good protein (an accelerator factor of cell proliferation) not derived from an animal, and having good activities for accelerating the cell proliferation. <P>SOLUTION: The accelerator factor of the cell proliferation is the protein having a specific amino acid sequence derived from a microorganism and having adhesive properties to an extracellular matrix, or having an amino acid sequence obtained by deleting, substituting, adding or inserting one or several amino acids from, with or to the specific amino acid sequence. The preparation for accelerating cell/tissue culture contains the accelerator factor of the cell proliferation.
