PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automobile body conveying mechanism for traveling while conveying an automobile body even in any advancing direction, such as forward, rearward, right, and left directions, with the automobile body mounted thereon without requiring transfer of the automobile body in an automobile manufacturing line, and achieving shortening of the automobile manufacturing line and storage excellent in remaining and accumulating efficiency. SOLUTION: In the automobile body conveying mechanism, a conveying pallet 110 movable even to any advancing direction of the forward, rearward, right, and left directions with the automobile body mounted thereon travels for conveyance on a plurality of friction rollers arranged along the automobile manufacturing line, flange guiding notches 115 through which slip-off preventing flanges of the friction rollers pass are provided in crossing areas of vertical traveling guide bars 111 and lateral traveling guide bars 112, while the vertical traveling guide bars 111 slid in forward and rearward directions by the friction rollers, and the lateral traveling guide bars 112 slid in right and left directions are installed in a lattice-like shape in a rear surface of the conveying pallet 110.
