<p>The operating and towbar coupling, especially for rail vehicles, has rods attached to both vehicles with a direct or indirect coupling between them which can use a third rod at the second vehicle. A locking bolt (3) gives a release bond between the free ends (4,5) of the two rods, with an operating lever (6) to move the bolt between locked and released positions. The operating lever has a top/bottom dead center setting in both modes to prevent an uncontrolled shift of the locking bolt through vibration, and the like, through a structured lever assembly (7).</p> |
