The indicator, designed to show at a glance when engine fan nacelle panel (6) locks have been left unfastened, consists of a flap (16) that can be closed over the locks (14) only when they have been fastened. Otherwise the flap, which can be made for enhanced visibility by painting it in a bright colour or adding a flag, stays in the open position.
