An air-bag, made of fabric (1), comprises a throat region where the air-bag is secured to a rod (3). The fabric is secured to the rod by an intermediary element (4) which wraps around the rod and is adhesively secured to the air-bag fabric. Preferably, the intermediary element is also made of fabric and is provided with a plurality of apertures (10) to receive adhesive. A further masking element (11) of fabric may be provided to cover the apertures. In another embodiment, the air-bag fabric may be provided with a plurality of apertures wherein adhesive passing through the apertures secures the intermediary element thereto. One side of the air-bag fabric may be provided with a coating (2), e.g. a silicone based material. |
