Thrust bearing for a turbocharger

The axial bearing, especially for a turbocharger, has a disc-form bearing body (10) with a central through-hole (12) for a shaft, and with at least one bearing face (14) encompassing the through-hole for a collar on the shaft, and at least one oil supply passage formed as a radial slot (16') leading from a radially outer region of the bearing body to the through-hole. An oil pocket (18) which is charged with lubricating oil extends concentrically to the through-hole over part of the circumference of the bearing body and extends from the oil supply slot to the through-hole for the shaft. An independent claim is included for a turbocharger equipped with the proposed axial bearing.
