PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ventilation structure of underfloor piping, which can be easily constructed, and which can prevent destruction of seal water by immediately returning negative pressure, generated in the underfloor piping of a centralized batch drainage system, to normal pressure. SOLUTION: In this ventilation structure of the underfloor piping, an underfloor header 2, to which an underfloor drain pipe is connected, and an outdoor home drainage basin 7 are connected together by means of a downstream-side drain pipe 3 passing through a foundation, and an upper part of the drainage header 2 and that of the drainage basin 7 communicate with each other via a vent pipe 5. The ventilation structure like this does not cause the destruction of the seal water, because air is sucked into the drainage header 2 from the drainage basin 7 through the vent pipe 5 so that the negative pressure can be immediately returned to the normal pressure (atmospheric pressure), even in the clogging of the drain pipe 3 and the generation of the negative pressure in an upstream-side drainage pipeline from the drainage header 2. Additionally, the ventilation structure can be more easily constructed than ever before, it eliminates the risk of a deterioration in the appearance of a building. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
