A copper foiled yarn line for use in a speaker which comprises a body of a copper foiled yarn line being impregnated or coated with a flame-retardant wax having a petroleum based wax and 5 to 50 wt % of a flame retardant consisting of a halogen-free aromatic condensed phosphoric acid ester. The above copper-foiled yarn line can exhibit excellent flame retardancy, excellent resistance to moisture, corrosion and a rope jumping phenomenon, and excellent solderability, and can inhibit the generation of odor during soldering.
