<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-repellent filter member which easy to handle though a resin sheet having a porous fiber structure having both of air permeability and water repellency is used, easy to insert when used in a venting through-hole and hard to cause a crack or rupture at attachment to the venting through-hole, a waterproof device and a gas sensor both of which have water permeability and waterproofness, a manufacturing method of the waterproof device and a manufacturing method of the gas sensor. <P>SOLUTION: The resin sheet 54, having the porous fiber structure having air permeability and water repellency, is molded to constitute the water-repellent filter member 19 including a cylindrical side surface part 19s extending in an axial direction and a base part 19t for closing one end of the cylindrical side surface part 19s.
