PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lamp driving device for liquid crystal display device capable of stably maintaining brightness regardless of environmental temperature change. SOLUTION: The lamp driving device for liquid crystal display device comprises a transformer for impressing a voltage on a lamp, a first resistor connected between the secondary winding of the transformer and a base voltage source, a rectifying part connected to the secondary winding of the transformer, a second resistor connected between the rectifying part and the base voltage source, and a voltage detection part detecting the voltage induced on the secondary winding of the transformer.
