摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device with superior display quality capable of suppressing the expansion of the scale of discharge and suppressing the breakage and deterioration of an electron emission element and a fluorescent screen, and the breakage of the circuit. SOLUTION: The display device has a fluorescent screen 6 and a metal back layer 7 formed overlapped with the fluorescent screen. The fluorescent screen 6 has an optical shielding part including a plurality of openings 23 and a phosphor layer 30 formed on the shielding part. The metal back layer 7 has dividing portions 7b and a plurality of split portions 7a divided into a plurality of regions. The dividing portions 7b are provided on the shielding part through the phosphor layer 30. The electric resistance value between the split portions 7a provided interposing the dividing portions 7b is in a range 10<SP>2</SP>Ωto 10<SP>5</SP>Ωthrough the phosphor layer 30.
