PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information reproducing device capable of reproducing and displaying data from a high-distribution optical disk medium on a portable terminal. SOLUTION: This device is provided with an insertion port for inserting an optical disk cartridge 104, an elevation part for opening/closing the insertion port, a reproducing part for reproducing at least information from an optical disk held in the elevation part, and an electronic substrate 102 for converting an optical signal outputted from the reproducing part into an electric signal to send it to a portable terminal. The reproducing part has an optical system constituted of a light source and an optical component for reading information recorded in the optical disk, a motor for rotating the optical disk, and a driving part for moving the optical system in the radial direction of the optical disk.
