PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To warm up the fixing unit of a fixing device in a short time to fix the toner on printing paper. SOLUTION: The fixing device has a power supply to generate a 1st induction current by the predetermined current, and a fixing unit to generate resistance heat and induction heat by the generated 1st induction current to fix the toner on the printing paper by using thus generated heat. The power supply has a power generator 410 to supply a predetermined AC current, a rectifier 430 to obtain DC currents from AC currents, an AC current generator 440 to generate AC currents from DC currents, an insulated section 450 to generate a 1st induction current to supply to the fixing unit by receiving AC currents from the AC current generator.
