PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire control operation system of a passenger conveyor capable of reducing the concentration of evacuees 6 on stairs 29 by operating passenger conveyors 11 to 14 for evacuation corresponding to situation of fire and preventing extreme concentration of passengers 5 on an entrance by conveyance of the passenger conveyors 11 to 14. SOLUTION: In this fire control operation system, when fire occurs in the premises, the passenger conveyors 11 to 14 are switched from normal operation to evacuation operation to convey persons 6 remaining in the premises for evacuation. Evacuation operation including the direction of operation is set corresponding to situation of fire. If the direction of operation is the same as the direction of operation up to now, the operation is continued as it is to perform evacuation operation. If the direction of operation is the reverse direction, the passenger conveyors are decelerated and stopped gently, and then slowly started in the backward and reverse direction for evacuation operation.
