PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refuse throw-in device capable of preventing leakage of the refuse from a space between a rotating body and a device body as much as possible, conveying the refuse upward by the rotating body, and smoothly throwing the refuse into a storage tank. SOLUTION: In the refuse throw-in device 1 to throw the refuse into a storage tank A, a rotating body 3 is rotatable around the horizontal axis 2a with respect to a device body 2, the rotating body 3 has a doughnut shape which is opened inside so as to store the refuse inside. A rear side face 32 thereof is closed, and a conveying means 4 to upward convey the refuse stored through a throw-in means 5 provided on the lower part is provided. An insertion port 33 is formed in the rear side face 32 corresponding to the conveying means, and a discharge port 22 is formed in an upper portion of a wall face of the device body 2 provided facing the rear side face 32.
