PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electroluminescent material and a light-emitting device, capable of changing luminescent color by a very simple means without doping any fluorescent dye and/or making multilayer luminescent layer, especially capable of easily attaining white luminescence. SOLUTION: The organic electroluminescent material is such that a coordinated compound obtained by coordinating metallic ion species is used as a crosslinked ligand where ligands are linked to both sides of a conjugated oligomer having fluorescence-emitting core. In this material, the crosslinked ligand has preferably a structure of L<SB>1</SB>-B<SB>1</SB>-A-B<SB>2</SB>-L<SB>2</SB>(wherein, L<SB>1</SB>and L<SB>2</SB>are each a ligand selected from the group consisting of Formula (1); A is a fluorene core with fluorescent color development of Formula (2); and B<SB>1</SB>and B<SB>2</SB>are each an oligomer selected from the group in Formula (3)) and the metallic ion species is selected from zinc, aluminum, ruthenium, osmium, terbium, europium, platinum, gold and iridium.
