摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely increase actual engine output by surely increasing exhaust energy. SOLUTION: The device acquires an insufficient torque TQS by respectively obtaining a demand torque TQT and an actual engine torque TQA and by subtracting the actual torque TQA from the demand torque TQT (TQS=TQT-TQA). When the insufficient torque TQS exceeds the permissible limit value LMTTQ, an exhaust energy increasing flag is set (XEEX←1). When the exhaust energy increasing flag is set, injection timing of main fuel is delayed so as to increase exhaust energy flowing in a turbocharger. At that time, the main fuel is increased to be corrected so as to prevent variation in engine output, for instance. When the insufficient torque TQS is below the permissible limit value LMTTQ, exhaust energy increasing action is halted regardless of a depressed amount ACC of an accelerator pedal.
