<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system capable of effectively distributing store information such as merchandise advertisement and the notice of sales within a store. <P>SOLUTION: The information distribution system includes an information storage and transmission unit A, an information display terminal B, an information distribution server C under control of a system management mechanism, and a main office terminal D, all of which are connected to a network. The information distribution server C adds general advertisement information to the store information distributed from the main office terminal D and distributes the store information and the general advertisement information to the information storage and transmission unit A via the network. The information storage and transmission unit A stores and accumulates the general advertisement information and the store information distributed from the information distribution server C and transmits these pieces of information to the information display terminal B.
