<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor controller of higher reliability, by which the number of revolutions of a motor is stably controlled, irrespective of the current phase and the power source frequency, a harsh sound from the motor is reduced, and failure of a motor drive portion is detected, and to provide a washing machine which is higher in reliability and easy to use. <P>SOLUTION: The motor controller includes a TRIAC 12 and the single-phase induction motor 2 which are connected to commercial power supply 1, a rotating speed detector 4 connected to the single-phase induction motor 2, and a control circuit 5 which inputs a signal from the rotating speed detector 4 and a power supply zero-cross signal and outputs a drive signal with an operating timing of a TRIAC 12 determined. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
