PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnet roller constituted so that the outside diameter of the main body part is made fixed in the axial direction, and also, the magnetic force distribution in the axial direction is made uniform without the drastic increase in the cost of a metal mold, regarding the magnet roller having a columnar main body part integrally molded by injection-molding the resin material where magnetic powder is mixed and dispersed in resin binder, and having shaft parts arranged on both end faces of the main body part. SOLUTION: Regarding the magnet roller 1, a recessed part 4 arranged away from the outer circumference of the roller 1 is formed at least in one of the end faces 2a of the main body part 2, and regarding at least the magnetic pole having the maximum magnetic force, the magnetic force at each axial end effective to form an image is set to be 98% to 102% of the magnetic force at the axial center.
