PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display apparatus and a manufacturing method for the same in which further narrowing of a frame area provided around a display area is realized. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display apparatus comprises a driver circuit 7 which is provided in a liquid crystal panel 10 and a photoelectric conversion element which includes a light emitting section 1 and a light receiving section 2 . A signal is supplied to a bus line 5 on the liquid crystal panel 10 by controlling a driver circuit 7 by applying a voltage generated in the light receiving section 2 of the photoelectric conversion element to the driver circuit 7.
