PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame-retardant curable resin composition free of any chlorine-containing compounds and bromine-containing compounds, excellent in processability, heat resistance, mechanical properties and dielectric properties, and having such high-level flame retardancy, mechanical properties and dielectric properties as to be favorable in an environmental viewpoint. SOLUTION: The flame-retardant curable resin composition comprises a curable resin containing (A) a metal oxide M<SB>x</SB>O<SB>y</SB>( wherein, M is at least one element selected from groups 5, 8, 10 and 11 elements; and x and y meet the relationships:0<x≤5 and 0<y≤5, respectively ) and (B) a pentavalent phosphorus compound 40-100°C in the difference between the temperature in 50 wt.% weight loss and that in 5 wt.% weight loss when heated from room temperature to 600°C at a temperature rising rate of 10°C/min in an inert gas determined by TGA(thermogravimetric analysis).
