<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the progress of the deterioration of signal characteristics of a differential transmission connector. <P>SOLUTION: This connector establishes the electrical connection of two or more of differential transmission cables which are engaged with an opposite connector and have a pair of signal lines, respectively, and at least one drain wire. The connector comprises a pair of adjoining signal line contactors to which the pair of signal lines of the cable are connected, a grounding wire contactor to which at least one drain wire of the cable is connected, a carrier on which the pair of signal line contactors and the grounding wire contactor are arranged alternately in a row on the same surface and in the width direction crossing at right angles relative to the axial direction of the cable, and a shell for covering the signal line contactors, the grounding wire contactor, and the carrier.
