<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cogeneration plant and its operating method capable of selectively optimizing either one of operation cost, overall efficiency and CO<SB>2</SB>emissions even when the characteristics of a plurality of cogeneration units are significantly different from each other. <P>SOLUTION: This cogeneration plant comprises a plurality of thermoelectric variable type cogeneration units 12, an auxiliary boiler 14 generating steam by using fuel, a purchased power line 16 for supplying the electric power from the external, and a cogeneration plant integrated-control device 20 for controlling the operating state of the plurality of thermoelectric variable type cogeneration units and the auxiliary boilers, and the electric power and the steam are supplied to a specific demand plant. The cogeneration plant integrated-control device 20 presents the operation cost, overall efficiency and CO<SB>2</SB>emissions of each component apparatus in a linear model, and either one of evaluation values of the operation cost, overall efficiency and CO<SB>2</SB>emissions is optimized by a linear programming in accordance with power demand and steam demand of the demand plant 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
