PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moisturizer, cell-activating agent, beautifully whitening agent and antioxidant, capable of being applicable in the field of a skin preparation for external use or beverage and food by finding an active ingredient having an excellent cell-activating effect, beautifully whitening activity, antioxidation effect, etc. SOLUTION: This extract from 1 kind or≥2 kinds of Goodeniaceae plants, having excellent cell-activating effect, beautifully whitening activity, antioxidation, etc., is used as the moisturizer, cell-activating agent, beautifully whitening agent and antioxidant. Also, by blending the extract of 1 kind or≥2 kinds of plants of Goodeniaceae with a composition of skin preparation for external use, a food or the like, it is possible to provide various compositions exhibiting excellent effects for the prevention or improvement of various skin symptoms such as wrinkles, sag, tightening of the skin, spots and dullness.
