<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide various information about an area outside of an everyday living area when an automatic transaction device in that area is used. <P>SOLUTION: The automatic transaction system comprises automatic transaction devices 1 that enable transactions when operated by users, and a host computer 2 for managing customer information such as the users' account numbers, the automatic transaction devices and the host computer being connected to each other by a dedicated communication line 4. The host computer 2 stores and manages information on the points of installation of the automatic transaction devices 1, and stores this information in association with the customer information when a transaction is made. The customer information is inputted from the automatic transaction device 1, and when the customer information is transmitted to the host computer 2, the host computer 2 searches for the information on the point of installation of the automatic transaction device 1 associated with the customer information.
