PURPOSE: A slab heating apparatus and a method of a furnace is provided to increase the degree of a crack of a slab by controlling the temperature deflection of a slab. CONSTITUTION: A slab heating method comprises: a step of inputting an input valve according to the condition of a slab which is inserted to the inside of a furnance(100); a step of extracting information corresponding to the inside of a storage(150) in the basis; and a step of compensating the temperature deflection by heating a skid beam(10) using a heating member(200) in a section inside the furnace.
