<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a frame synchronization signal with enhanced immunity against transmission path error, enhanced stability, and enhanced speed. <P>SOLUTION: A digital broadcasting signal, in which the main signal is transmitted in payload parts of transport packets and at least a part of synchronization parts of the transport packets within a frame constituted by prescribed numbers of transport packets is replaced with the frame synchronization signal of n bits, and which is convolution-encoded by a convolution-encoding circuit with a constraint length of m (n>m) and an encoding ratio of 1/2, is transmitted, and is received. A predetermined unique bit pattern is detected from the received signal by a frame synchronization detection circuit 41, and the received signal is demodulated by a demapping circuit 43 according to the output signal of the frame synchronization detection circuit 41. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
