<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a TV sub-screen processing apparatus and a method to watch a main screen image signal and a sub-screen image signal simultaneously by overlaying a sub-screen PIP image signal and the main screen image signal each other. <P>SOLUTION: The TV sub-screen processing apparatus is provided with a first image processing portion to process the main screen image signal to a displayable signal on the screen as an input, a second image processing portion to process the sub-screen image signal to the displayable signal in a prescribed area of the screen as the input, a controlling portion to output a control signal based on a request instruction of a user, and an adjusting portion to adjust an output quantity of the image signal output from the second image processing portion based on the control signal of the controlling portion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
