PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably display an image as required by a user even when an apparatus does not necessarily always display an image. SOLUTION: The display apparatus for displaying an image is equipped with: a battery; an image storage unit which stores an image to be displayed; a display unit which consumes the electric power of the battery only when images to be displayed are changed; a power detection unit which detects the electric power stored in the battery, and a display forcing unit which forcibly displays the image stored in the image storage through a display unit when the electric power detected by the power detecting unit decreases to or lower than a preliminarily determined reference value.
