A pants-type wearing article (1A) has a vertically extending first barrier flap (13) located on the first side- flap (11) side and a vertically extending second barrier flap located on the second side-flap side. In an under-crotch area (6) are formed first fold lines (30) bifurcated near an uprise base point (25) of the first barrier flap (13) and headed for a side edge (29) of the first side-flap (11) and a second fold line bifurcated near an uprise base point of the second barrier flap and headed for a side edge of the second side-flap. In the under-crotch area (6), a first portion (33) is folded along the first fold lines (30) in the lateral inward direction of the article (1A), a second portion is folded along second fold lines in the lateral inward direction of the article (1A), and movable portions (24) of the first barrier flap (13) and second barrier flap are substantially linearly extended in the vertical direction without being folded in the lateral inward direction of the article (1A).
