<p>The high resolution scanning microscope (1) uses a light source (2) with two laser assemblies side-by-side. The first assembly (6) has three lasers (BCD) whose beams are combined (8-10) and transmitted through an optical fiber (11) to a lens (12). The second assembly (7) has a single laser (A) passing light through a second optical fiber to a lens (13). The beams from the optical fibers are combined using mirrors (14,15) and are passed to an aspherical mirror system (38) and a cylindrical lens (39). The light passes to a detector module (5) with scanning performed by movable slits (26,26a). A patterned structure may be built up using the Talbot effect.</p> |
