METHOD FOR DETERMINING CONTENT OF FERROUS AND HEAVY METALS IN POWDER SAMPLES OF ORE

The proposed method for determining content of ferrous and heavy metals in powder samples of ore consists in placing the weighed powder sample in a cuvette, compacting the sample in the cuvette by applying a specified force, exposing the cuvette with the sample to gamma radiation, measuring the intensity of the radiation emitted by the sample using a gamma radiation detector, and determining the content of heavy metals in the sample by the measured radiation intensity.
