DOBROVOLSKYI'S METHOD FOR DIAGNOSING BRONCHIECTASIA IN CHILDREN

The method for diagnosing bronchiectasia in the children comprises the examination of the external respiration. The dimensions of the thorax upon inhalation and exhalation are measured at the level of the nipple in the vertical position of the patients and the rigidity indices of left and right thoracic semicircles are estimated. The decrease in the rigidity index of left and right thoracic semicircles is indicative of bronchiectasia in the respective side.
