Organic compound materials having bipolarity, that is, quinoxaline derivatives represented by the general formula (1): wherein R1 to R12 are each independently hydrogen, halogeno, lower alkyl, alkoxy, acyl, nitro, cyano, amino, dialkylamino, diarylamino, vinyl, aryl, or a heterocyclic residue; R 9 and R10, R10 and R11, or R11 and R12 are each independently an aromatic ring or are bonded to each other to form an aromatic ring; Ar1 to Ar4 are each independently aryl or a heterocyclic residue; and Ar1, Ar2, Ar3, and Ar4are each independent, or Ar1 and Ar2, or Ar3 and Ar4 are bonded to each other either directly or through oxygen (O), sulfur (S) or carbonyl.
