PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stator core reducing the size and thickness while increasing the number of turns of a coil, and also to provide a motor comprising the stator core, and a recording medium drive. SOLUTION: The stator core comprises a core plate 24 having an annular core back 25 formed by laminating a plurality of metallic plates 27 and 28 and a predetermined number of tooth poles 26, and a stator coil 23 being wound around the tooth poles 26. A protrusion 30 for stopping the jumper wire of the stator coil 23 is formed on the core back 25 of the plates 27 and 28 while being bent, and the inner circumferential side end face of the protrusion 30 is located on the outside of the inner circumferential surface of the core back 25.
