PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve processing efficiency while lowering quantity of information stored in a volatile memory such as a RAM.

SOLUTION: A first table 31 and a second table 32 represent address conversion information showing partial correspondences among all of the correspondences between an address in a flash memory expected by a host and an address of an actually used flash memory. By referring to the first table 31 and the second table 32, correspondence between respective physical block addresses xPBA or logical block addresses xLBA expected by the host 20 and included in a predetermined address range in the flash memory and a physical address PBA on the actually used flash memory can be derived.
