<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading apparatus utilizing a common resource for a software for detection of sensor output by reducing the number of input ports for the number of necessary sensors for a document reading apparatus and a paper supplying and transporting apparatus by switching the output of sensor detecting the width of the original and output of the width of transfer paper and inputting to the common input port. <P>SOLUTION: The original width, the transfer paper width and output of each sensor are input to PCB substrate and a sensor signal input to the PCB substrate is input to a switching IC. The switching IC is an IC switching output of a signal input to the IC by the control signal and, for example, a sensor output detecting the transfer paper width is input to the CPU when the control signal outputted from CPU is an L level signal and when the sensor output detecting the original width is H level. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
