PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inductor in which it is possible to improve a DC overlapping characteristic or to reduce a resistance for a direct current, and also a gap control is unwanted and an inductance characteristic can be adjusted. SOLUTION: A choke coil (inductor) 1 comprises a first core 11, second cores 21, 22, and a coil 3. The first core 11 is composed of the green compact of a magnetic powder having a higher saturated magnetic flux density than ferrite and a mixed powder mixed with a binder. The second cores 21, 22 are made of ferrite, and are continuously connected to the first core 11 to form a closed magnetic path together with this first core 11. The core 3 is housed in an annular housing part 2a between the first core 11 and the second cores 21, 22, and is provided so as to wind at least a part of the first core 11.
