PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To support a muffler to a vehicle body only by supporting the muffler from its lower side by a filament body stretched over from the lower side, to position the muffler to the vehicle body while restraining vertical and lateral displacement and reducing the number of parts and assembling man-hours. SOLUTION: In this supporting device for supporting the muffler M to the lower part of the vehicle body B through an elastic body, the filament body 5 partially formed of an elastic body is stretched over from one side to the other side of the muffler M from its lower side, and both ends are held to first and second holding parts 3, 4 provided at the lower part of the vehicle body to support the muffler M from the lower side.
