PARTICLE-BEAM RADIATION THERAPY SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve safety by preventing an erroneous beam transport to a treatment room which is not an irradiation target. SOLUTION: This system is provided with a charged particle beam generator 1 emitting a charged particle beam; a plurality of treatment rooms 2A-C and 3 having irradiators 15A-C and 16; a first beam transport system 4 transporting the emitted beam to the downstream side in the beam advancing direction; a plurality of second beam transport systems 5A-D provided at the branched part thereof and transporting the beam to the corresponding irradiators 15A-C and 16 out of the plurality of treatment rooms 2A-C and 3 respectively; a plurality of changeover electromagnets 6A-C provided at the branched parts, deflecting the beam from the first beam transport system 4 and introducing it to the corresponding second beam transport systems 5A-D; and first shutters 7A-D provided on the downstream side of the changeover electromagnets 6A-C and shutting off the beam advancing route.
