PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent that cut chips of a plastic board at its front and rear ends cannot be shredded by means of a scrap chopper for shredding the cut chips because the cut chips uprightly stand on a conveyer. SOLUTION: The apparatus for preventing the upright standing of the cut chips of the plastic board is composed of a tilted partition 2 which makes the cut chips 1 of the plastic board at its front and rear ends fall down on the conveyer 29 by bringing the surface in its width direction into contact with the tilted partition 2, and a compressed air blowing device 3 for pushing the chips 1 fallen on the conveyer 29 against the partition 2 by blowing compressed air therefrom.
