摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the quality of welding by surely carrying out the start of an arc while preventing the burn-through in the hybrid welding. <P>SOLUTION: A laser irradiation starting command is sent from a robot control unit to a laser generator together with a laser power command condition before the arc generation. The laser power command before the arc generation suppresses the input heat quantity and is selected from three laser power commands (*1-*3) according to the material grade, thickness, or the like of a base material. An arc welding starting command is sent to an arc welding power source together with a welding voltage and a wire feed speed command. The voltage is a no-load voltage until the wire is brought into contact with the base material after the arc welding command has been sent. Further, the wire feeding speed is commanded to be slow until the arc is generated. When the wire has been brought into contact with the base material and the arc has been generated, the generation of the arc is detected, and the laser power command condition is changed to a machining condition. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p>
