PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase an operation life of an organic electroluminescent element and prevent a rise of a driving voltage. SOLUTION: A charge transporting material, whose oxidation potential is +0.8 V or more and where a rate of existence of a group expressed by formula(1) is 0 to 70 ppm, is used. However, the group directly joins with at least one aryl group, heteroaryl group, or carbonyl group. Additionally, the carbon atom is not a carbon atom constituting an aromatic ring.
