DISPLAY CONTROLLER, ELECTRONIC APPARATUS, AND IMAGE DATA SUPPLY METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display controller capable of reducing the capacity of a video memory without deteriorating the image quality and to provide an electronic apparatus and an image data supply method. SOLUTION: The display controller 20 includes: a UV sampling rate conversion section 24 for converting a format of image data with a first YUV format received from a host into a second YUV format by changing a sampling rate of U and V components; a memory 22 for storing the image data with the converted second YUV format; an image processing section 26 for writing the image data after the image processing applied to the image data with the second YUV format from the memory 22 to the memory 22; and a format conversion section 28 for converting the image data with the second YUV format from the memory 22 into an RGB format.
